This is a landscape painting of the Yorkshire Wolds, an area designated as an area of Outstanding Natural Beaty. The area is known for its distinctive chalk landscapes, which have been shaped by erosion over thousands of years. The area has a rich history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Neolithic era. The painting is done in an impressionistic style with loose brushstrokes and vibrant colours. The painting is signed “Blanche” in the lower right corner.
