Cath Ray
Cath Ray has always been interested in art and literature, and as an artist, she strives to capture the serenity and tranquillity she finds in unpopulated landscapes and empty buildings. Some pieces incorporate literary passages that come to mind. Her recent works focus on woodlands, historical buildings, churches, seascapes, power stations, and working animals in agricultural landscapes. Cath earned her BA (Hons) in Fine Art & History of Art from De Montfort University in Leicester and has since worked in arts and education. She currently owns her own gallery in the historic market town of Retford in Nottinghamshire, where she teaches, paints, and curates exhibitions featuring a wide range of other artists and crafts people's work.
