This stunning depiction of a Barn Owl highlights the birds detailed plumage which is illuminated by moonlight. Here are a few interesting details about Barn Owls: They are among the five owl species found in the British Isles, with females being slightly more weighty than males. Young owls are called owlets. Unlike other owls, Barn Owls screech and make hissing noises instead of hooting. They are skilled hunters, preying on small mammals. Barn Owls have excellent night vision and hearing, allowing them to hunt in low light conditions.
